COA Reacts to Benchmarks Announcement

The COA, in partnership with the Wait Time Alliance, reacted to the benchmarks announced this week by way of a  news release. The establishment of benchmarks is a good first step; however we continue to remind governments that much work remains to be done. The COA has made it clear that human resource shortages must be addressed before any meaningful improvements in access to care can be achieved. We also are warning against the absence of performance targets for orthopaedic care outside of hip and knee arthroplasty.
