Orthopaedia® is built on a powerful semantic wiki platform that lets you create and share articles, videos, presentations and other documents with your colleagues. You can think of Orthopaedia® as a combination of Wikipedia (wiki collaboration) + Youtube (video sharing) + Slideshare (slide/presentation sharing) + Facebook (social/professional networking) but for Orthopaedics. Orthopaedia® is currently sponsored by The Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons (www.abjs.org), a not-for-profit organization with the core mission of disseminating orthopaedic knowledge. Behind the scenes, Orthopaedia® is developing a novel structured information repository and knowledge sharing, distribution and exchange engine based on semantic technologies.
