This fellowship provides education in a unique surgical sub-specialty that includes the study and treatment of limb length discrepancies, nonunions, malunions, and congenital and posttraumatic deformities. Methodologies encompass the spectrum of orthopaedic fixation materials including plates, rods, and fixators. Exposure to general paediatric orthopaedics is offered. Fellows are encouraged to accompany a surgeon on an international outreach program.
To apply, visit: http://www.limblength.org. For Canadian physicians: LMCC provided a graduate of an LCME-accredited medical school, or ECFMG certification is required. Because of the relatively new nature of the sub-specialty, ACGME has yet to publish guidelines; this fellowship is not currently accredited.
