This fellowship is a well run veteran programme that has been registered with the COA since 1992.
The QE II is a Level One Trauma Centre that is one of the premiere academic trauma programmes in the country.
The fellow will be expected to be part of the trauma team and will become skilled in the resuscitation of the trauma victim as well as have the ability to triage patients effectively to the most effective treatment area.
The fellow will understand and be able to effectively utilize IM Nails, locked plates, spanning external fixator and DCP plates. The treatment of non unions and post-traumatic deformities will be detailed.
The majority of fellows obtain a successful academic position upon completion of this fellowship.
