The 2007 Halifax Meeting Programme

Dear COA Members and Guests,

We hope to whet your appetite with this message from the Programme Committee and encourage you make plans to visit Halifax to be treated to some of the best orthopaedic education that money can buy!

The Programme Committee has spent numerous hours on your behalf to bring you an impressive and varied programme. Over 350 abstract submissions were received this year, from which CORS has selected 37 podium presentations and 37 posters. The COA has accepted a record 152 podium presentations and 104 posters.

The Meeting will begin Friday morning with six Instructional Course Lectures (ICL's), followed by a CORS session and the first major Symposium. The combined COA/CORS session will follow the lunch break that afternoon.

Join us on Friday evening for the Opening Ceremonies followed by the President's Reception in the exhibit hall, which will be an excellent opportunity to meet and greet your colleagues from across the country.

Exceptional Symposia on a broad range of topics that will appeal to every orthopaedic surgeon, terrific podium presentations and posters will be the routine each day! Saturday afternoon will include a special treat with the advent of a subspecialty half day.

I would like to thank my Committee members, Vice Chair, and Subspecialty Chairs for their excellent input in building the programme.

We have listened to our members and acted on your comments and suggestions from prior years to present a well established programme that is "case based" with interaction and discussion around your chosen topics.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to complete the session evaluation forms last year and encourage you to give us ample feedback again this year so we can plan a strong and enjoyable programme for you in Quebec City.

Warm Regards,
