This fellowship is a well run veteran programme that has been registered with the COA since 1992.

The QE II is one of the premiere academic arthroplasty programmes in the country. There are four dedicated arthroplasty surgeons with four additional surgeons performing a significant portion of the primary arthroplasty done in the region.

dal_logo.jpgThe fellow will be expected to be part of the arthroplasty team and will be expected to take part in arthroplasty rounds and grand rounds.

The fellow will understand and be able to effectively utilize numerous primary and revision systems. The training will include the indications and techniques involved in insertion of acetabular cages, captured cups and hinge knees.

The fellow will be expected to understand the treatment of significant bone loss in acetabular and femoral revisions as well as the treatment of the infected arthroplasty.

The majority of fellows obtain a successful academic position upon completion of this fellowship.
