Duration:      12 months
Stipend:        50% of OHIP billings with $36,000 salary guarantee
Location:      St. Michael's Hospital

Goals and Characteristics:
To create an independent surgeon with special skills in all aspects of foot and ankle care. The fellow will become familiar with ankle arthroplasty, ankle arthroscopy, adult reconstructive foot surgery, adolescent reconstructive foot surgery and diabetic foot care.

The clinical Foot & Ankle Fellowship offers comprehensive management of both adult and adolescent foot and ankle pathology. The fellow will be exposed to clinical activities and surgical/conservative management. Completion of two research projects is mandatory: one clinical, one biomechanic. By the end of the training, the fellow is expected to have acquired sufficient knowledge base to be competent and autonomous in the management of foot and ankle pathology.
