The University of Western Ontario, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery are pleased to offer a comprehensive trauma fellowship based in London, Ontario, Canada. This intensive one-year fellowship is open to all graduates of Canadian orthopaedic programmes and any outside institutions which meet our criteria for training. Training will comprise advanced periarticular fracture reconstruction techniques with a focus on a full-time practice in orthopaedic trauma. Areas of specific interest include periarticular fractures, pelvic and acetabular fractures, polytrauma patients, as well as post-traumatic and reconstruction foot and ankle surgery.
Renumeration has been standardized within our Fellowship Programme. Fellows will be expected to be intimately involved in research, clinical work and teaching residents and medical students. Opportunity is available for both clinical and basic science research projects at the University of Western Ontario. Research funding is available for appropriate and high quality proposals.
This fellowship is meant for applicants who are expecting to return to academic centres to practice in a tertiary care capacity.
