McMaster Children's Hospital Orthopaedic service manages the full care of the paediatric patient for the Hamilton and surrounding area with a catchment of 2.5 million people.  The fellow will be exposed to the operative and non-operative care of the paediatric patient to allow the fellow to increase his/her knowledge in the field. 

The fellow will attend 2 OR sessions per week and 1-2 clinics per week with dedicated research time weekly as well with the expectation that a publication ready research project is completed. The fellow will assist with ward duties and surgical aftercare of inpatients. The fellow will participate in on call duties, weekly teaching sessions and be responsible for a Grand Rounds presentation.
