Continuing Our Tradition: Relevant, Timely and Readable
John Antoniou, M.D., PhD, FRCSC Editor in Chief Montreal, QC
As our previous editor, Dr. Emil Schemitsch, had stated "The primary goal of the COA Bulletin is to increase and allow communication among members of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. The Bulletin should provide information that is relevant, timely, and readable."
Dr. John Antoniou, Editor in Chief
With this in mind, we will continue to devote portions of the Bulletin to features such as the scientific Themes and the point-counterpoint (Forum) to give readers information that can be incorporated into their orthopaedic practice. These features have been very successful and popular and have crossed many of the subspecialty areas of orthopaedic surgery.
As outgoing scientific editor, I would like to ensure that this area of the Bulletin remains current, comprehensive, inclusive, and continues to grow.
Dr. Paul E. Beaulé has been appointed as the new Scientific Editor responsible for the Themes and Forum sections. Paul is a highly respected surgeon-scientist from Ottawa well known to many of you. He has a broad interest in many of the subspecialty areas of orthopaedic surgery and his addition is a welcome one. Please join me in welcoming Paul to this post and thanking him for his dedication to the COA community.
As incoming Editor in Chief, I would like to remind you that the COA Bulletin
Dr. Paul E. Beaulé. Your new Scientific Editor
is your communications tool. We need to hear from you to be able to meet your needs and communicate substantive and current information. We welcome your comments and advice on any aspect of the journal and look forward to hearing form you.
