See you in Halifax, Nova Scotia! coa_2007_logo_200.jpg

In the coming year, the Canadian Orthopaedic Association elevates multitasking to new heights! It will be our great pleasure to welcome you to Halifax for the 62nd Annual Meeting of the COA combined with the 41st Annual Meeting of the Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society as well as the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Canadian Orthopaedic Residents' Association. You don't want to miss any of these meetings - and now you don't have to.

The theme of the Annual Meeting will be Halifax: The Gateway to Canada. Our social events will proclaim this message, with most of them taking place close to the harbour front. Drs. Michael J. Dunbar and Ross K. Leighton, our Programme Chairs, have developed an exciting, state-of-the-art educational programme to meet the needs of orthopaedists across the country. The academic sessions will take place from Friday, June 1st to Sunday, June 3rd and we'll keep you busy, engaged, and involved throughout the weekend.

And, it is a weekend after all. To complement our traditional Nova Scotia lobster feast, you won't want to miss out on the Saturday Evening Gala featuring the talented singer/songwriter, Bruce Guthro and friends. It promises to be a spectacular evening of entertainment, to say nothing of a fabulous, uniquely maritime meal.

On behalf of our orthopaedic community in Atlantic Canada, it will be our privilege, our honour and our great pleasure to treat you to our traditional "down-east" hospitality.

We look forward to seeing you in historic Halifax on the first weekend of June, 2007.
