Who We Are Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading emergency medical humanitarian aid organization.
We offer assistance to populations in distress, to victims of disaster and of armed conflict, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.
Field workers go where the need is immediate, combining direct medical care with a commitment to bearing witness and speaking out about the underlying causes of suffering.
The Work Surgeons work with MSF emergency teams in conflict and disaster zones. They also work in longer term projects serving communities with limited access to health care.
MSF needs surgeons with general and specialized surgical skills, especially in trauma and obstetrics.
In addition to providing direct care, surgeons also assess project needs and train and supervise locally-hired staff.
